Mental Health Carers Support

If you are supporting a friend, relative or neighbour aged 18-65 who lives in Adur, East Arun, Chanctonbury or Worthing, who has a mental health difficulty which is not dementia, this part of our service can offer you a specialist Carers Support Worker who can provide:

  • Support, eg someone to talk to
  • Information, eg on the diagnosis, medication, useful contacts
  • Advice
  • Advocacy, if you need someone to go with you to meetings or to speak on your behalf
  • Access to regular carers groups.  Please see here and here for our 2011 Mental Health carers activities details.

One of our Mental Health Carers Support Workers can meet with you at your home or another place of your choice, to look at ways of enabling you to improve your quality of life and to help you continue in your caring role.

For more information, contact us.
